I'm playing a machine empire (FP), and I've acquired several relic worlds. I just unlocked Machine Worlds, and I'm steadily transforming my planets. However, I can't terraform my relic worlds. I have already depleted any archaeological dig sites, and I have colonized the planets. I'm able to alter (and have) all of my other worlds.Yes, Hive Worlds are superior to Ocean worlds even for Hydrocentric Aquatic pops. If you build Mining or Generator districts, or anything to extract Volatile Motes, Rare Crystals, or Exotic Gases, those will disappear after you convert it into an Ecumenopolis.
